In Situ testing: Downhole / Drill Mode
In-situ data can be collected using the drilling apparatus aboard the Greatship Maya
‘Down hole’ mode allows for continuous samples to depths of client specifications. Down hole in-situ testing such as the following is performed using a Wison – APB tool through API drill pipe.
- Piezocone Penetrometer Testing ( PCPT)
- Seismic cone Penetrometer
- Vane shear test
- Dissipation Test
The Greatship Maya has a drill derrick on aboard positioned above a moon pool with the following features:
- 32 Meter derrick with 100MT pull capacity
- 3.5 meter stroke heavy compensation with 80 Mt capacity
- Top drive – Rotary drill F150. 23k ft lb torque. 80 – 100 rpm
- Drill string length 2000 meters – API 5 ½”
